"what does awesome mean?"

 

"Oh Little Bird you are so awesome."

"Mama, what does awesome mean?"

"Well umm like cool."

"So it means I'm cold?" *said with her nose turned up and a weird face of confusion staring back at me.*

"Well no not cool like in cold but cool like you know awesome."

"BUT what is awesome?"

"Okay when you say something is awesome it means that it's really neat, and fun. That it makes you happy and you really enjoy it."

"So I'm neat, fun, and you really enjoy me and that makes you happy."

"Yes, Little Bird exactly."

"So why don't you just say that?"

"Umm cause saying awesome is so much faster."

"Yes but saying that I'm neat, fun, and you enjoy me and that makes you happy is so much easier to understand."

"Yes Little Bird that is very true. Next time I will just say you are neat, fun, and I enjoy you and that makes me happy."

"See was that so hard?"
