Okay now wink for me

Well the turkeys been eatin, the stuffing, mash potatoes, green beans, and sweet potatoes have swollen my stomach to the point of convincing me I may never want to eat again. All before I dug into the last piece of pumpkin pie. It's official. The count down to Christmas has begun. So what better choice to make than to visit some reindeer to kick of the holiday love.

Okay so we went and saw the reindeer the day before but really it all leads into the idea that Christmas is finally here. I spend a lot of my time lately wishing I had the comeback stamina that kids do. Their total openness and belief to things like Santa Clause and flying reindeer is very inspiring. These reindeer opened up a conversation full of "how, when, and why".
How does Santa make it all the way around the world in one night? When do the reindeer sleep? Why reindeer and not horses? Horses go much faster.
That lead to "Will Santa be able to find us in North Dakota?" "Will Christmas be Christmas without Papa and Grandma Glow?" and here were my answers.

1:) Santa can fly around the world in one night because he has really good frequent flyer miles.
2:)Reindeer sleep right after their done delivering the present and they sleep for three days straight. That way they don't suffer from jet leg.
3:) Horses can't fly.
4:)Yes Santa will find us in North Dakota just like he found us in Germany. He's smart like that.
5:) Yes Christmas will still be Christmas even though Papa and Grandma Glow wont be there.....we have the web camera.

I wasn't sure if these answers would work for Big Bird. I wasn't sure if she had reached the age of disbelief yet....she hasn't. It may even be that she is more of a believer than Little Bird. For a child who is all about science and facts she really is open to the idea that some things you don't have to see to believe and for that I admire her greatly.
