it's an ache more than a stab

Seriously why do my children insist on growing up? Don't they understand that it is breaking my heart?

I mean what is a stay at home mommy suppose to do when her littlest of little birds grows up?

she laughs at my pain. She giggles at my agony. She mocks my emotions as if they mean NOTHING!

She starts Kindergarten in just a few months and that will be it. She'll no longer need me.

    I wonder is she knows?
