About Me

I suppose really the best way to find out who I am is to get to know me slowly. You could start here for a summed up bio. You could search around here to get the fuller picture, and if you'd like you could check me out at these places too.

Props to Richard Knerr

Who is Richard Knerr? Well he is the man who invented the hula hoop, the Frisbee, and of course my favorite the slip and slide not to mention the supper bouncy ball. In my opinion he is like the greatest American business man EVER!

His company that started back in the 40's called Wham-O (yes that Wham-O) a company that he started in his garage with his best friend is responsible for almost every major toy in American history. So in my book he just completely rocks.
But you know lets be honest none of you care. Okay so on to the whole writing about my life.
The weather has been getting better and better as each day of this amazing summer moves on and we are enjoying every second of it. I keep telling myself that I am going to use this summer as my reference point on hot weather since we put down Arizona as our base of preference and unless you're military I totally realize that you have no idea what that means, and I also realize that Washington State gets nowhere near as hot as Arizona. Okay so I didn't really think this plan out but you know what......that's what yeah take that haters.

We lived the life of an American Commercial family over the weekend. We grilled yummy food, we camped out in the back yard and counted stars, and we enjoyed the king of all water toys The Slip and Slide. We were that family that you see in the AT&T Commercials gathering around a table full of food with the rest of the block sharing the memories of a wonderful summer day all because they were able to reach out and touch someone with their phone.....or something.

*excuse me for a moment I puked a little in my mouth.*

You know what's totally funny about all of this is that when I was a kid we didn't really have the time to enjoy these types of moments and although we did have a slip and slide or rather the better name for it would have been the long yellow garbage bag you pulled out over your yards and sprayed wet every once in awhile with the garden hose I never had the guts to slide down it. But being a mother of two girls I was not about to teach them to be afraid of such things so I went for it. In nothing more than a pair of undies and a tank top (with bra of course, these babies never go unsupported) I slid down that yellow beast like I had claimed it years before and I'm going to let you in on a little secret.........IT WAS AWESOME!!!
