"Mama I wrote you a love song"

For the record her love song had something to do with walking up a mountain and wolves attacking us but it was okay because we beat them up and then we like went down the mountain together and the wolves followed us....something...something...something. When I asked where the love part was she said "It's coming up wait for it." and then she sang "Cause your the bestest Mama EVER!!!!!" and then it went on about the wolves. She wrote this song for me a few weeks ago when we first started our guitar lessons with Uncle Bob and the only note she could play was G.

I don't think I will ever forget this song for as long as I live. But when I asked her yesterday to sing it to me again she so nicely replied. "I don't remember it. I didn't write it down." I asked her if she would write me another one this morning and you know what she told me?
"The moments passed Mama."
I kid you not she told me the moment had passed. Now of course as a Mama this made me think to myself as I watched her walk away heading out the door to school and into the world of adulthood with no love for me in her heart. "Does this mean the moment of writing me music has passed? Does it mean the desire to sing to me has passed? Will she never write me another song? Or does this mean that I am no longer the bestest Mama EVER!" Whaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Okay, breathe Libbie, breathe, you've still got Big Bird. Big Bird will write you a song, and Big Bird still thinks you are at least an okay, mid grade Mama. There's hope right? I mean if one kid wont write me a love song I'm bound to get the other one too.......right?
*anyone, anyone*
*hello*
*is that a no*
